No sooner did I post that last message when I found out that our stock order went through. With that, Kristen and I are now partial owners of an American insitution, Coca-Cola Company.
Mixed emotions
In a way this makes me feel a little old. 28 year olds don’t buy company stock, do they? Pastors don’t buy stock, do they? Young parents don’t buy stock, do they? Kids from blue collar homes growing up in a blue collar town don’t buy stock, do they? Apparently they do.
Done with money, now back to work!
Yep, wasted enough time on this for today. I’m off to the office and then later I’m off to the high school. If I don’t do this stuff, my stock will go down!

Misc Debris added these words on Mar 24 05 at 9:39 pmCongrats! My roommate owned Coca-cola stock and we once sat around and tried to figure out how much of every can each can was his. Pretty funny to do. Helps if you have a chemist or someone with a calculator around.
PA added these words on Mar 25 05 at 3:40 amthanks for the comment. With the amount of stock I bought today I can probably determine that I will make less than 1 penny for every million cans of Coke sold worldwide.
The big news for me is that… we own a single piece of a company instead of via a mutual fund where we own tons of tiny fragments of thousands of companies.
