it’s over

Earlier this evening we ended negotiations with the owner of the house on West Road. It all came down to her unwillingness to have the house fully inspected prior to ratifying the purchase agreement.

It seems as though she may need a new listing agency as her demands were so odd that the agent and her broker called her several times today to ask her to reconsider. We’re taking this as a legitimate “closed door.”

Sometimes God closes doors in my life and I just don’t get it. Man, I really wanted that house.

Don’t worry…I’m sure God’s got a great house for you…it will probably be even better then this one and even easier to buy.

Sometimes we get disappointed, but I guess God knows what he’s doing. GOD BLESS!

I work in architecture (in Royal Oak as a matter of fact) and people who refuse to have their homes inspected by outside inspectors are hiding something, or worse, they’ve made additions that the City doesn’t know about and the City (Township, perhaps in your case) will make the Owner get as-builts (updated construction documents) and maybe even a new mortgage survey, which can get pretty pricey.

Sometimes God closes a door because what’s behind it isn’t all that great. You’ll know the right one when you see it.
