fun at the old ball game

Last night we took the kids to see the Detroit Tigers smash the Toronto Blue Jays at Comerica Park. What a blast! Of course, the real reason we we there was to celebrate my nephew Jacob’s birthday… but this was a case where everyone had a good time.

Kristen wasn’t as excited as everyone else. Guess baseball isn’t her cup of tea.

Megan and Allison spent most of the night checking things out in their binoculars. Megan spent the entire night on Aunt Gwen’s lap.

Looks like fun! I use to go to ball games with my family as a kid and we’ve taken our oldest daughter once. I love the after game firework show! Of course, we lasted till about the 7th inning. I love the after game firework show!

As a Tiger’s fan who only got to see them lose @ Yankee stadium this year… I wish I’d been there!

If your only perk working at a small church with a job description longer than Santa’s christmas list, is getting to see the Tigers play… sign me up!

Maybe you’ll appreciate the fact that I am a Cubs fan living in Tiger’s territory. I like the games I’ve been too and I like that Comerica is a rockin’ park… but I would be happier with taking my kids to Wrigley.
