		<description>Adam,

I come with a very strong opinion here. I truly believe in exclusivity.

Why?

There needs to be a 'place.' I am going to use youth ministry as my example here, but it goes beyond just YM.

There are discussions I have that are just between myself and the SP. There are discussions I have that are just between myself and the SPR. There are also discussions that are between myself and a student.

Likewise, there are things that I cannot go to any of them about. There are things discussed on sites such as YMX or one or two others that I belong to that I need input on and I need to discuss. However, I never want my kids to have access to that type of discussion.

I believe Jesus was a promoter of exclusivity as well. He did a lot of things in public, but he also had a lot of times when he withdrew with only those close to him. In a few cases, only one or two were invited somewhere with him.

People shouldn't look at exclusivity as a 'we are trying to keep people out' view on things. Exclusivity should really be designed to focus the arena and target those specific to a particular discussion. I mean, sure the women's group needs to know what's going on, but they don't need to be involved in every last thing the youth do.

To me, Exclusivity comes down to relevance. And relevance is a factor based upon need/input/etc.....not based upon numbers or feeling left out.

But, that's just me. I'm sure I didn't relay my opinion perfectly, but I am not prefect. Have a great day. :-)
