Mark Twain on School Boards

Monday night welcomes the resumption Romeo’s Monday Night Football with the regular meeting of the Romeo Board of Education.

In light of that, fellow youth worker Grahame Knox sent me this quote:

In the first place, God made idiots. That was for practice. Then he made school boards.

Thanks for the quote Grahame. I don’t know how school boards are in the United Kingdom and I don’t know why Mr. Clemens wrote that about school boards. But I know that as much as I disagree with how meetings are managed… the board is filled with some very intelligent people.
