Are You Ready for a Technology Tune-Up?

In the following pages, you’ll discover a series of essays which deal with everyday challenges you and I face as a direct result of technology. I believe that most of these challenges and bad habits creeping into our daily lives are happening because none of us made a careful and conscious decision to allow technology in. Instead, things like smartphones and social media have crept into our daily routines out of convenience or fascination or some other cultural force.

In each essay, you’ll see a repeated theme: As you tune things out that aren’t important, you’ll have better focus and more energy for tuning in to things that are really important to you.

The goal isn’t guilt, it’s action.

Introduction to Tuning In

As I worked on Tuning In two things become clear:

  1. Most of my friends have a broken relationship with technology.
  2. Though I’m offering a hopeful outlook on technology, readers will need a tool to help repair their relationship with social media and technology.

Introducing the Technology Tune-Up

On April 12th, alongside the release of Tuning In, I’ve also created a free resource that’ll take the six Tuning In Principles of the book and give you specific action items that’ll help you better master your relationship with technology.

The Tech Tune-Up is a series of 6 emails that’ll arrive once per week and give you the opportunity to work on each principle, interacting with me as much or as little as you’d like.

What’s the goal? To help you form a better, more healthy, and helpful relationship with social media, your smartphone, and other technology in your life.

Who is it for? It’s for anyone, really. Adults, teenagers, families, students, groups, presidents of large countries… anyone who feels like their relationship with technology is out of control or just needing a tune-up.

What do I get? You’ll get a series of six emails from me, each one explaining the things I’d like for you to work on as it relates to each principle, some assignments which may include self-reflection and/or actual stuff for you to do. It won’t be super hard or scary, I know you’ve got other stuff going on in life. You’ll also get direct access to me if you want it.

Do I need to read the book for it to make sense? It’s not required. (Though I’d love if you read the book.)

What if I don’t like it? You can opt out at any time. I’m interested in helping you, not stalking you.

How much does it cost? It’s free. If it helps you I only ask that you tell a friend.

How do I sign-up? Fill out the form below and I’ll send you the official sign-up when it’s ready to go.
