January 3, 2009

I think cabin fever has settled into the McLane household. We are all stir crazy and we are all waiting for the weather to turn just a big so we can go do something. Anything will do.

I think we’re headed to a farmer’s market or some sort of outdoor deal today. Fresh air will do us all some good.

In the meantime, as always, I find a moment of solace with some early morning tunes. Here are the next 10 tunes rattling my ear drums this first Saturday in January. As always, completely random and ratings included.

#1 Replace Me by Family Force 5 ***

#2 Ancient History by Hawk Nelson ***

#3 Old Love by Eric Clapton ***

#4 You Give Me Something by James Morrison ****

#5 Brighter Days by Leeland ****

#6 Spaceman by The Killers ****

It’s going to be a fun weekend for the McLane family. Our friend Dave is headed down from San Fransisco for a quick trip. We’re not 100% exactly what we’ll be doing, but the weather will be warm and I have no doubt that we will find some fun.

I’ve got a couple more hours until he comes, so you know the iPod will be on in the background of everything else. Here are the next 10 tunes I’ll be listening to. As always, this is completely random, no cheating, ratings included.

#1 Replace Me by Family Force 5 ****

#2 Battle Without Honor or Humanity by Electric Samurai ****

#3 Lonely by Your Side by Johhny Blake ****

#4 Opposite Way by Leeland ****

I think things are settling in for us. The house is mostly unpacked with just a few things left to put together and sort out. Yesterday I worked a half day. After work we went to the beach, then dinner at The Corvette Diner in Hillcrest. This morning I’m headed to a test of some content YS is rolling out in Spring 09. Have I said lately I’m the luckiest guy alive? I love my job!

While I’m off doing all sorts of things today, music is a big part of my day. Here are the next 10 tunes I’m listening to. As always, this shuffle is totally random and ratings included.

#1 All Creatures of Our God and King by David Crowder* Band ****

#2 We Shine by Steve Fee ****

#3 Sending by Charlie Hall ****

#4 Bingo by Baby Jamz ****

#5 Always by Hillsong United ****

#6 Everything by Lifehouse ****

#7 The Bridge by Hans Zimmer ****

#8 Put a Penny in the Slot by Fionn Regan ****

#9 Tears of the Saints by Leeland ****

#10 No Matter What It Takes by Jeremy Camp ****

Not going to lie. This shuffle is lame. I mean, seriously?
