    Good word, Adam. Loved it.
    Relationships MATTER and programs GET
    in the way.

Thanks for sharing. I’m glad I found ya, again!

    What is easiest for me:

Relationships, prayer, talking, hanging out, being an example.

    What is hardest for me:

Becoming programatic in nature, pushing people through a process without walking with them, focusing on numbers only, dealing with business.

It seems we are constantly finding ways to be busy without being bold and relational with people.

Dude! This was awesome. Were you just walking along and holding a camera? Please, please do this sort of stuff more often.

Adam, I love your questions about what’s easiest and hardest, but can you clarify some of it for me? When you say “hardest,” do you mean “feel less equipped to do this” or “most draining, least fulfilling?” Here’s some context for this: I feel very equipped to plan events and programs and feel I do it effectively, but it’s not ultimately my passion in ministry. So it’s easy in one sense (I’m equipped), but hard in another (it’s not my passion).

Also, totally random question: what kind of camera are you using? ๐Ÿ™‚

By hardest I simply mean… what’s the stuff that saps your energy the most. Stuff that you do, which is “easy” and enjoyable gives energizes you… even if by “easy” it is really hard work!

Oh, the camera is a flip video. Simple ๐Ÿ™‚

so excited about getting to hang out with you in the future…

i was just engaged in a massive conversation over the last couple of days about these polarities in youth ministry – the stuff we are prepared for and trained for, vs the stuff that occupied so much of our time to ‘get’er done’…like marketing, event management, HR management…. so I’m gonna repost and add some of that conversation….

Awesome thoughts, Adam. I’ve been wrestling with a lot of this myself. Gonna have to write some of this down, per your recommendation.
