This morning our church brought along 18 new members into the church. Additionally, 2 adult women were baptized. This is very cool.
Among the 18 new members were several of my students. I am very excited that they decided to take that step of obedience. I don’t know how else to express it other than that I am proud.
In other news
It was a very stressful day. I didn’t get a chance to enjoy the worship service at all since I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. When I informed that pastor that things weren’t going well with all of the new technologies he about bit my head off. All of this basically ruined my day!
On the flip side, all things are anew this evening as we have a big outreach event planned around a showing of The Passion of the Christ tonight at 5:00 PM. Hopefully all will go well. I am a bit concerned that the new pastor has really tied his emotions into the success of events like this. I suppose all new people in ministry really take it personally hard when events don’t go well. It takes a bit of time and experience to figure out what a community will bite on and what they will pass on. I hope my instinct that the community will pass on this is incorrect. Otherwise, I’ll have some more cheering up to do on Monday morning besides the cleaning up I have to do with the words exchanged this morning.
