  • Saturday Tunes

Here we go. Saturday morning. College football. A little Christmas shopping. And of course mega-cool-times with the family.

We had a great time last night at December Nights. Balboa Park was packed with people, mostly locals, checking out miles of food, crafts, and Christmas cheer.

Anyway, my morning is always wrapped up with some music. Here are the next 10 tunes on my playlist. As always, these are completely random, ratings included.

#1 Let Her Cry by Hootie & The Blowfish ****

#2 Georgia on my Mind by Ray Charles *****

#3 Take My Life by Chris Tomlin ****

#4 Rescue is Coming by David Crowder Band ****

#5 Never Here Alone by Collective Soul ****

#6 Just Like Me by Hawk Nelson ****

#7 Who is Like You by Tim Neufield ****

#8 When I Said I Would by Whitney Duncan ****

#9 Disco Inferno by The Bee Gees *****

#10 Falling Slowly by Glen Hansard & Marketa Inglova *****

    Wow, now that’s random!

  • Saturday Tunes

I think this is the 50th edition of Saturday Tunes. It may not be the most consistent feature of my blog, but it is one of my personal favorites.

This morning I find myself at my mom’s house in Las Vegas. We needed a car and they had an extra so it worked out. Last night, I took the 40 minute flight from San Diego to Las Vegas. Actually, we sat on the tarmac in San Diego for almost as long as long as our flight because apparently a couple checked in for the flight but couldn’t wait for the plane to take off if you know what I mean. Meanwhile,

On flight 451 to Las Vegas
On flight 451 to Las Vegas

I was sitting in the back of the aircraft with 4 guys who could have come off the set of any Cheech and Chong movie. An early evening flight to Las Vegas is an experience everyone should try… once!

Later this morning I’ll begin my drive back to San Diego. And since I’m alone these are the next 10 songs I’ll be singing down the highway.

#1 Tell Me Something Good the Happy Feet Soundtrack ****

    #2 Spin by Lifehouse ****

#3 Pork and Beans by Weezer *****

#4 Wink and a Smile by Harry Connick Jr. ****

    #5 Beautiful Day by U2 *****

#6 Two Lights by Five for Fighting ****

#7 California Uber Alles by Dead Kennedy’s ****

#8 When I Said I would by Whitney Duncan ****

#9 Sister Rosetta by Noisettes ****

#10 You are Good by Lincoln Brewster ****

Looks like the first hour of my drive is going to be eccectic. Maybe not as odd as the flight last night… How about you? What is on your list this morning?
