There is a small but important releif effort underway at my church. A few men have hooked up with a group that is doing a very specific mission for the Red Cross in Mississippi. Our team will be driving down Tuesday morning to drop off supplies and other things and then transporting some “refugees and tourists” who have gotten trapped down there to their homes or to their semi-permanent housing in the north. There are about 20 people that will be coming all the way to Michigan with us.
I am not 100% certain if I am going to be a part of this or not. I am available and willing, but so far there have been plenty of other volunteers. This is a sign that this church is getting more and more healthy! I love it.
