    Saturday Tunes

A quiet weekend here in San Diego for us. Yesterday was a big day for YS as we launched this year’s NYWC website. With just 145 days until the first convention… it’s fun to see things coming together! We also kicked off a little fundraiser via the YS Blog yesterday. I’m stoked to see the response so far. I have  yet another project going live Sunday, I’ll share more about that on Monday.

Last night, Kristen and I finally watched Slumdog Millionaire. What a powerful movie. I can’t imagine how hard it was to shoot that thing.

This morning Kristen is off jogging while I’m home with the family. Later Paul and I will be taking the dog to the beach and from there, who knows? Here are the next 10 tunes I’m listening to. As always, totally random and my ratings included.

Just another lazy Saturday in McLane land. Other than taking Stoney over to dog beach to let him sniff butts and chase tennis balls, I don’t have plans for today. It’s kind of cold and wet here, so it’s not as if we’ll want to do much else.

Just like a typical Saturday morning, I’m getting it started with some Java (last of the Starbucks Christmas blend) and some headphone time. Here are the next 10 songs playing on my ipod. As always, totally random and my rating is included.

#1 Life is a Highway by Rascall Flatts ****

This morning finds me in a hotel in the suburbs of Chicago. Yesterday was a fun day with a ton of driving. We ran all over the city filming Monday’s YS Podcast. Lakeview, the Loop, the Lake, and South Barrington. It’ll be a great episode that I can’t wait to send out on Monday.

Today, I’ll be attending day two of Planet Wisdom Chicago. The first night was great. I had never been to one and I was really impressed. I knew the second session would have a calling to follow Christ and I was interested to see how they did that… loved it. The least manipulative I’ve ever seen and yet dozens of kids responded.

Music is always part of my day. Here are the next 10 tunes rolling off my iPod this morning. As always, no cheating and ratings included.

    #1 Smile by U2 ****

    #2 Baby O’Riley by The Who *****

Lots going on. Of course next week I’ll be leaving for the first National Youth Workers Convention which packs in all sorts of stuff. On top of that we have two emergent issues at home. First, Stoney is on his way to the vet. We had heard fleas were an issue in San Diego, but we now need help controlling this problem. I’d take pictures but it is too gross. On top of that, as I blogged last night our car is busted. So right now I’m waiting for Enterprise to pick me up so we can have some wheels while we figure out our next step with the car.

Long story short, music is always part of my day. So here are the next 10 tunes I’m listening too during this challenging day. As always, totally random and no cheating.

    #1. Rock-n-roll all night by Kiss *****

Time is quickly ticking away on our tenure here in Romeo. With roughly two weeks left, we’ve got our garage sale on tap for next weekend as well as loads of stuff to “pre-sell.” (Seriously, come over and make an offer on any of the furniture, yard tools, and other stuff we need to unload.) Later, I’ll be cleaning up the car more so I can list it on Craigslist. Yippee!

Anyway, here are the next 10 tunes blasting my cranium. As always, this is totally random with no cheating, rating included.

Tough to believe it is Saturday already. What a quick week! This morning I had a meeting at the church about church marketing, then I came home to finish up the yard work before a 12:30 PM showing. (They were 15 minutes early) Now, I’ve got some work to do before I head back outside to do the edging and finalize some stuff for Mike’s graduation party tommorow afternoon.

While I’m doing all of that, music is always playing. Sometimes in my mind and sometimes on my ipod. So… here are the next 10 tunes rocking my eardrums this muggy June afternoon. As always, totally random shuffle, ratings included, no cheating.
