    Saturday TunesWith the new site design, I thought it was time for a new graphic for my weekly music post. (The last one survived about 4 redesigns!) I had some fun with PhotoShop this morning as you can see. Other than that, today is a typical Saturday. Kids are bouncing off the walls. We’ve eaten pancakes.     saturday tunesEver wonder what pastor’s do on the Saturday before Easter? I can’t speak for Bob but I know I’m finalizing a lot of little details for Easter. At 10:00 I’m headed over to the church for band practice. I’ve got 90% of the stuff done, but I need to finalize all of the baptism videos. (Shot all but one yesterday) So from now until then I’ll be relaxing, listening to some tunes.

  • New release: How to Boil a Frog

    How to Boil a FrogI saw this on Tony Morgan’s blog and thought it was interesting. So I gave it a whirl. (2 minutes on PhotoShop)

    This is my random album cover for my latest release. My band is “How to Boil a Frog.” We’ve been together for about 15 minutes now and are releasing our debut, “The Tediousness of Life.” The bats in the picture represent the tediousness of life in youth ministry. Those little details are like the gnats the bats eat… just swallowed up in a blur leaving nothing but inaudible communication in its path.

    saturday tunesThis week I got a new MacBook. (not the Air, a black MacBook since I wasn’t impressed with the Air. Just to clarify!) In the course of moving over 40gb of data I wasn’t able to import all of my ratings from iTunes into the new computer. Total bummer on that. The result is that I have to start over with my ratings… all 5,000 songs now have to be re-rated. That said, today’s edition of the Saturday Tunes is going to be especially random.
