Check out this video. In it Derek Webb says that the Christian market talks about 2% of life while ignoring the 98% of “stuff” in the real world.
What do you think? Should more Christian art reflect the themes Derek mentions?

Another quiet Saturday in the McLane house. I’ve got some super fun quick books work to do with YMX as well as some “de-Christmasizing” to do on All Access and YMX, but other than that I don’t have much planned this morning. Here are the next 10 tunes I’ll be listening too this January morning. As always, I’ll I’m doing is pressing shuffle on iTunes and giving you the next 10 songs without cheating, rating included.
Another quiet Saturday for the McLane’s. OK, that’s a lie. I’ve got a bunch of videos left to edit for church tomorrow and MainStreet on Monday night. But that’s besides the point! Here are the next 10 tunes streaming into my ears this Saturday before Christmas. As always, no cheating (I just press shuffle and start writing) and my ratings are included.
Over at YMX, we’re accepting nominations for “Best of 2007” from the world of youth ministry.
If you post your list on your blog and post the link in the comments section by 12/30/07, we’ll put your name in a drawing for a $25 gift card from Amazon. (Drawing on 12/31/2007) Don’t post your link here… post it here!
Do I have to be “in youth ministry” to nominate? Nope. It’s open to anyone with an opinion. The only requirement to be in the drawing is that you have to post a link to your nominations in your blog/website.
Saturday in December. Want to guess what that sound is today coming from the malls of America? That sucking sound is the sound of people opening their wallets and buying Christmas presents. While we are off to the mall and Kohl’s, here are the the next 10 tunes that will be playing in the McLane-mobile. As always, no cheating and ratings included. (Want to see more of what people are listening to? Check out Mykel’s playlist this morning)
Time for some dance music. The 80s had some of the best and some of the absolute worst dance music ever. Here’s a sample.
This will be the simplest and fastest review I have ever given.
I’ve only even listened to this album once but I don’t want to waste any more of your Christmas-time. You need this album for your families listening pleasure this Christmas season.
Let’s put it this way. I don’t even like Relient K’s music and I don’t like Christmas music and yet I am recommending that go out and buy this album right now.
As I told Amy last night, “This is the first Relient K album I would really listen to.”
Two links to buy it now in time for Christmas

It’s staff retreat time. So, between sessions you and stuff… here are the next 10 tunes I’ll be listening to. As always, these are just the next 10 songs on itunes, no cheating and ratings included.
The kids are absolutely going nuts with staying in the house. They woke up bouncing off the walls and I think we’ll need to take them somewhere to run pretty soon. Also, Kristen and I will hopefully be finishing up the wallpaper stripping later this morning so we can get a coat of primer on the walls. It’s only been about 2.5 years! With all that fun, here’s the next 10 tunes racing through my brain this morning. As always, no cheating and ratings included.
It’s a busy day, so I’ll cut to the chase. Here are the next 10 tunes crawling through my brain this morning as I prep for day 3 at the conference.
As always, no cheating and ratings included.
