It’s been a recovery week for me. A lot of extra rest and a lot of extra time spent with Kristen. Today is a continuation of that. Kristen is going off with a friend to La Jolla for a meeting and I’m chillaxing at home with the short people in my life. If we get adventurous we may venture out, but I am thinking we’ll mostly just hang here.

As always, music is a big part of my day. Here are the next 10 tunes funneling from my ipod to my cranium. I’m sharing them with you completely at random, without cheating, and my ratings included.

Today is a travel day. So you know I’m listening to music. That is, I’m listening to music if my fellow passengers don’t try to talk to me for 4 hours. That happened on Thursday morning, it was fine but I really wanted to put on my headphones and sleep!

I get to Detroit about 8:30 PM and will go to stay with Kristen’s parents. From there it’s all about getting the car packed up for the drive.

So, here are the next 10 tunes I’m listening to this morning as I pack up the hotel room. As always, these are completely random and my ratings are included.

Tough to believe it is Saturday already. What a quick week! This morning I had a meeting at the church about church marketing, then I came home to finish up the yard work before a 12:30 PM showing. (They were 15 minutes early) Now, I’ve got some work to do before I head back outside to do the edging and finalize some stuff for Mike’s graduation party tommorow afternoon.

While I’m doing all of that, music is always playing. Sometimes in my mind and sometimes on my ipod. So… here are the next 10 tunes rocking my eardrums this muggy June afternoon. As always, totally random shuffle, ratings included, no cheating.

Saturday TunesIt’s kind of cool having a Monday through Friday job. For the first time in forever I can look forward to going to church in the morning without thinking of a million work details. That’s a guilty pleasure.

Today we are heavy into “honey-do” as we have a graduation party at the house in just 8 days. So this morning I got started painting the basement floor a sexy basement floor grey color. We’re also tidying up some kitchen projects that are long overdue. This includes finishing the kitchen cabinet and counter thing that has been in “pending” mode for nearly a year. It’s kind of crazy how you just get used to stuff not being 100% done, isn’t it?

So with that stuff spinning the iPod is working overtime. Here at the next 10 tunes I’ll be jamming to. As always, completely random, no cheating, ratings included.

    1. Revolutionary Love by David Crowder Band ****
    2. Emtpy Heart by Newworldson ****
    3. Proud Father by Jon McLaughlin ****
    4. It Just Takes One by Addison Road *****

    What are your next 10?

  • Ron Jeremy on Christian Music

ron jeremyI’m a big fan of Craig Gross and the ministry of xxxchurch.com. (The #1 porn site for Christians, by the way) Which means I’m not a huge fan of Ron Jeremy. (Old school porn star) One of the craziest things going on today is that xxxchurch.com and Ron Jeremy are traveling the country together to hold, what they call, The Porn Debate on college and university campuses.

This video is self-explanatory. Ron & Craig were in the car together and they were talking about music. Listen in on this discussion between them about Christian music and worship music. Then watch what happens when Craig and Ron talk about going to a Christian concert together.

    HT to Craig

Man, I wish I knew how to do this. I love what we can do… but sometimes you look at this stuff and go… WOW. This is something a church created for their worship services. Amazing.
